SkillShare has become a recent obsession of mine and since I moved to San Francisco (holla! A4G in SF starts now!), it’s the perfect way to do fun things and meet new people. So, when I saw a chocolate-making class, I signed up immediately!

Ben Tsetlin, our instructor for this class, has been making chocolate by hand for 3 years, ever since he discovered how delicious and healthy raw chocolate was. His recipe was surprisingly simple to follow, even for a kitchen klutz like me. With just a few ingredients, some mixing, and 30 minutes of time, I was able to make 12 pieces of bittersweet ganache-y chocolate!

The best part about Ben’s chocolate recipe is that all the ingredients are natural and organic. Most chocolate you buy in stores these days are processed and have tons of preservatives in them. And they don’t taste that great either. With a little bit of money and effort, you can make delicious chocolate at home with ease! Ben’s recipe calls for raw cocoa powder and butter, wildflower honey (which he procures from farmers market), lucama powder, and extras like almonds, goji berries, and coconut shavings.

Ladies (and chocolate-loving gents), this is it… chocolate can be delicious AND healthy! If you’re not in San Francisco to take Ben’s class, you can order his chocolate online for $30 a box.
