The Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea was hopping last weekend as Project By Project held its 12th annual Plate By Plate tasting event to benefit the Hamilton-Madison House. The event was teeming with great food, talented chefs, eager celebrities, and well-dressed attendees, all there to support an amazing cause.

Park Avenue Potluck CELEBRATIONS isn’t just any old cookbook. It was created by members of the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to benefit the Society’s programs for patient care, research and education. And now it can add international bestseller to its list as welr to its list as well.

The borough of Brooklyn seems to be bucking the trend of providing local, sustainable, organic and fair trade agricultural products and Ger-Nis in Park Slope is no exception. The concept behind Ger-Nis is to establish connections from the growers to the markets, markets to the community.

Last year at this time, I was a tad skeptical of food trucks. Just how good could food be that’s prepared in a tiny space on a moving vehicle? For about a year now, these mini-restaurants on wheels have lined the sidewalks outside most office buildings in LA during lunch and being a curious foodie, I finally decided to get in line.
