Months before the event, I saw an episode of Beyond the Dish where Chef Anthony went to the Green Market to pick out produce and taught the audience about the importance of fresh local food. I felt inspired and educated, and was interested in learning more from him.

For a few weeks leading up to the September 12th Race for the Cure, I stalked the Midtown NYSC. I slowly ramped up to 3 miles on the treadmill, and even added some hills for a more realistic simulation of Central Park on race day. But what the actual 5K was nothing I like expected!
